.::Previously::.
It's about time I got somewhere. Ignoring my hunger and tired body I moved through the door to see where it took me.
.::Now::.
When I walked through the door I got a really odd feeling as if I were being dunked under water. I panicked and immediately went to my hair to see if it was wet. It's not wet! Why is it not wet? What just happened?? I bypass what may have just happened and continue on my way.
It's still fairly dark in the room that I have entered so I didn't trust my sight still. I went on my way with my hands out searching for another wall. This time I went to the right. Side stepping so I kept facing forward. I quickly ran into a smooth wall that had a chalky feeling to it. I then side stepped to the left a few times to find another wall with the same texture.
I realized I'm in a hallway. A dark hallway that is unknown to me. Great. I continue on with one hand on the left wall and one in front of me incase there is a turn or the end of the hallway.
I kept walking for what seemed like a long time till I found another wall. But this one felt weird. It had crevices that seemed to be engraved into it. I felt all of the crevices carefully, realizing it was a puzzle of sorts. I found that the patterns on some of the sides were the same. I gripped one of theses "crevices" and gently began to push it towards its partner. I didn't expect it to move so smoothly, but it did.
Click!
The first pieces were fit together perfectly. I found the next matching edges and pressed them into places also. Click. Click. Click. Click. One after another. It's all I heard in the hallway until the last piece was put on.
Click! Cruuuuuursh. Bang!
The wall had just moved away. It unlocked and literally slid out of the way with a loud bang as it stopped. I could move on again. But I hesitated. I listened carefully to see if any other noises could be heard. For the fear of the barrier of the other door had emerged again. What is the barrier? What will I feel this time? Is it safe? I was worried if it would be a different sensation or if it would be the same. But I had to keep going...
